Lemon Donuts

Zutaten

    • 1 egg (size M)

    • 75g sugar

    • 1 packet vanilla sugar

    • 1 pinch of salt

    • Zest of 1 organic lemon

    • 30g soft butter

    • 150ml buttermilk

    • 200g wheat flour

    • 1/2 level tsp baking powder

    • 1/2 level tsp baking soda

    • Donut silicone mold

    • 200g powdered sugar

    • Juice of approx. 2 lemons

      1. Grease the donut baking mold, preheat the oven.

        Top/bottom heat: approx. 180 °C

        Fan oven: approx. 160 °C

      1. Briefly whip the egg with sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and lemon zest in a mixing bowl with the beaters of the hand mixer on the highest setting. Briefly stir in the butter and buttermilk. Mix the flour with baking powder and baking soda and briefly stir in on low speed. Fill the batter into a piping or freezer bag, cut off a corner and fill evenly into the donut molds. Slide the mold into the oven on the rack in the lower third.

      2. Baking time: approx. 20 minutes

      1. Let the donuts cool slightly, release from the mold and let cool completely on a wire rack.

        For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with the lemon juice into a thick glaze. Place a wire rack on a piece of parchment paper. Dip the tops of the donuts into the glaze and let drain on the wire rack. Distribute the colorful sprinkles decoratively on top.
